The sales engineer is a figure with technical skills in the field of industrial automation and with planning and communication skills in international contexts.
Its mission is to contribute to the maximization of sales to loyal customers and also to potential new customers, supporting marketing activities and directly taking care of all phases of specific sales processes, from the identification of customer needs to the closing of contracts and the consequent opening of internal orders.
The candidate will perform the following duties:
- detect customer needs and support them in defining supply specifications
- verify the technical and economic feasibility of customer requests, when necessary involving other corporate bodies that can produce feasibility studies
- develop technical and economic offers
- present offers to customers
- verify the consistency between customer orders and offers, resolving any discrepancies
- record customer orders and transfer the information necessary for carrying out orders to other corporate bodies
- support project managers in interpreting specifications
- meet established customers and potential customers to raise awareness of the company’s vision, skills and capabilities and bring out business opportunities
- negotiate prices and supply conditions
- produce promotional material to support marketing in finding new customers
Requirements:
- experience in the sales of contract products
- fluency in English
- familiarity with using Office programs
- analysis, synthesis and problem solving skills
- availability to travel in Italy and abroad
Pluses:
- engineering degree
- knowledge of a second foreign language
